When I first got into marketing, I believed that a few splashy images were all a brand needed. I was mistaken. I've come to understand how important building a robust, consistent story, across multiple platforms is to developing a brand's image within a consumer's mind.

I've also learned the importance of believing in the brands with which I partner. I wanted the campaigns I created to be a labor of love. So I decided to work with products I love within a community I care for deeply. That's why I created Black Owl; so that my community can be engaged with instead of profited from; so that our community can be seen in the products they consume; so that we can learn to enjoy life together instead of apart.

My love for restaurants began while I was attending highschool in Chelsea. The ability to experience different cuisines with my closest friends became my new hobby, and by senior year, I was obsessed. For an hour or two, the food and ambiance of these restaurants transported me anywhere I wanted to go, and that feeling of adventure was intoxicating. 

As I got older, I noticed these experiences weren't limited to dining. As a patron, I  wanted to have exceptional experiences everywhere I shopped. However,  business rarely met this expectation, and over time, the problem became worse. I recognized something needed to change, and that change would be necessary to keep storefronts open. If businesses couldn't create experiences that exceed customers' expectations, digital companies like GrubHub and Postmates would easily replace them.

In college, I pursued a degree in veterinary science. After working in a vets office for a short time, I had the opportunity to work as a restaurant consultant.  That role instantly revived my love of food and service. That love is what drove my desire to change the food and beverage landscape, and that passion is why I am working at Black Owl Marketing Agency.
